Eco-Friendly Flooring Adhesive with Super-Cohesion Performance
Acronal® ECO 7534 X is an aqueous, self-crosslinking acrylic dispersion specially designed for super-cohesion and persistent-tacky resilient floor tiles adhesives. A non-APEO, non-formaldehyde, and non-ammonia product supplied by VUBS CORPORATION Pan India.

This self-crosslinking acrylic dispersion is specially engineered for super-cohesion pressure-sensitive flooring adhesives. Non-APEO, non-formaldehyde, and non-ammonia, it delivers environmentally responsible performance with exceptionally low VOC emissions and weak odor. Designed for PVC, LVT, textile, and carpet tile installations, it provides very long open time, high peel strength, and strong pressure-sensitive performance. The extremely low glass transition temperature ensures persistent tackiness and flexibility. At VUBS Corporation, we help formulators develop premium eco-friendly flooring adhesives meeting stringent green building standards.

Innovative polymers and additives from BASF, supplied by VUBS CORPORATION Pan India, help users design solutions that adhere to various floor coverings, both traditional and low energy materials. BASF’s extensive range of products allow formulators to overcome challenges found on the job site, from speed of installation and ease of use, to moisture issues and clean-up.
Acronal® ECO 7534 X represents best-in-class environmental performance for flooring adhesives through multiple sustainability features. The Extremely Low VOC formulation with weak odor significantly improves indoor air quality during and after installation, critical for occupied spaces like schools, healthcare facilities, and residential buildings. The Non-APEO chemistry eliminates alkylphenol ethoxylates, persistent pollutants that bioaccumulate and cause endocrine disruption in aquatic ecosystems. The Non-Formaldehyde formulation removes carcinogenic concerns associated with formaldehyde-containing adhesives. The Non-Ammonia composition eliminates respiratory irritants and nitrogen pollution. These features enable compliance with the strictest green building standards including LEED v4 Low-Emitting Materials credits, BREEAM Indoor Environmental Quality requirements, EU Ecolabel criteria, German Blue Angel certification, and Indian Green Building Council standards. The product supports healthier indoor environments, reduces environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle, and meets increasingly stringent regulations on chemical emissions and hazardous substances in construction materials.
Self-crosslinking refers to Acronal® ECO 7534 X's ability to form chemical bonds between polymer chains without requiring external crosslinking agents. The polymer contains reactive functional groups that react with each other under ambient conditions after application, creating a three-dimensional molecular network. This process occurs gradually over hours to days at room temperature. Benefits include Progressive Strength Development where peel strength and cohesion increase over time, achieving higher ultimate bond strength than non-crosslinking alternatives; Improved Heat Resistance with better performance at elevated temperatures; Enhanced Creep Resistance preventing adhesive cold flow under sustained load; Superior Solvent and Chemical Resistance protecting against cleaning agents and spills; and Maintained Flexibility as the crosslinked network retains elasticity despite increased strength. The self-crosslinking is automatic, requiring no special curing conditions, catalysts, or mixing procedures, simplifying formulation and application while delivering enhanced performance. This makes ECO 7534 X ideal for demanding flooring applications where long-term reliability is essential.
Persistent tackiness refers to the adhesive maintaining a pressure-sensitive, sticky surface for an extended period after application, even as it develops internal strength. This is achieved through Acronal® ECO 7534 X's extremely low glass transition temperature (Tg ~-36°C), keeping the polymer soft and tacky at room temperature. The benefits are substantial: Extended Open Time allows installers several hours to position and adjust tiles without adhesive skinning or losing tack, reducing waste from rushed installations; Instant Initial Grab provides immediate holding power upon contact, preventing tile slippage during installation; Repositionability enables tiles to be lifted and repositioned if needed without adhesive failure; Pressure Sensitivity creates strong bonds with light pressure, eliminating the need for heavy rolling in many applications; and Compatibility with Various Tiles works effectively with PVC, vinyl composition tile (VCT), luxury vinyl tile (LVT), carpet tiles, and textile floor coverings. The persistent tackiness combined with self-crosslinking creates an ideal balance: excellent workability during installation with progressive strength development for long-term performance. This is particularly valuable for large commercial installations where extended working time and repositioning flexibility improve installation efficiency and quality.
Acronal® ECO 7534 X is versatile across resilient flooring categories. PVC and Vinyl Tiles including homogeneous vinyl, heterogeneous vinyl, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and vinyl composition tile (VCT) achieve excellent bonds with the polymer's pressure-sensitive properties. Carpet Tiles and Textile Flooring benefit from the extended open time and repositionability for precise pattern matching and alignment. Linoleum benefits from the low-emission characteristics and strong adhesion. Cork Flooring with its unique surface can be bonded effectively. Rubber Tiles in commercial and industrial settings achieve reliable adhesion. The product is primarily designed for indoor applications on prepared subfloors including concrete, cement screeds, existing vinyl or tile (if properly prepared), plywood and oriented strand board (OSB), and raised access flooring systems. It is NOT recommended for ceramic/porcelain tile, natural stone, or outdoor applications which require cementitious or reactive adhesives. The low-emission profile makes ECO 7534 X especially suitable for healthcare facilities, educational institutions, residential occupied spaces, LEED/BREEAM certified buildings, and renovation projects in occupied buildings. VUBS Corporation can provide substrate-specific formulation recommendations and application guidelines.
Acronal® ECO 7534 X can be used in two ways. As a Direct-Use Adhesive, it can be applied as supplied or with minor dilution for certain tile types and installation conditions, particularly suitable for small projects, trial installations, or applications where simplicity is prioritized. However, most commercial applications benefit from formulation where ECO 7534 X serves as the base polymer (typically 30-50% of total formulation) with additions of Rheology Modifiers like Rheovis® HS 1152 or HS 1125 (1-3%) to adjust consistency and prevent slumping; Fillers such as calcium carbonate or kaolin (10-30%) to adjust viscosity and reduce cost; Tackifiers or resins (5-15%) to enhance initial grab if desired; Preservatives (0.1-0.3%) for storage stability; Defoamers (0.1-0.3%) to eliminate air bubbles; and Water for viscosity adjustment. Formulated products offer optimized rheology for trowel or roller application, controlled tack levels for specific tile types, cost optimization through filler addition, extended shelf life through preservation, and customized performance for specific market segments. VUBS Corporation provides technical support for both direct use and custom formulation development, including starting recipes, compatibility testing, and performance optimization to meet specific requirements or industry standards.
